The life enhancing benefits of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) and Qigong (Chi Kung) are well documented and increasingly supported by research in the west. Current research has proven the beneficial and therapeutic benefits of these disciplines. Following the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taijiquan (tai chi chuan) and Qigong seek to restore and regulate the flow of ones Qi (Vital energy) and blood. This is achieved through a combination of mindfulness, correct postural alignment, relaxation and deep abdominal breathing. A specialised form of effortless movement, known as Silk- Reeling, is learnt which unifies and integrates the entire body-mind. The primary aim is to develop ones ‘Internal Strength’ in order to enjoy an enduring and healthy life. Unlike other forms of exercise Taijiquan and Qigong require students to practice in the most unhurried, gentle and relaxed way possible in order to gain maximum benefits.

The Three Treasures School of Taijiquan offers regular Taijiquan and Qigong classes throughout the County of Oxfordshire including Oxford, Wallingford, Watlington, Didcot, Henley-on-Thames, Steventon, Warborough, Dorchester and Charlbury.
