“Investigate in detail what the ultimate purpose is: to extend the years and achieve a

       never-ending youthfulness.”

                                – Song of the Thirteen Postures

Is it really possible to get fit and healthy without the discomfort that usually accompanies exercise? Unlike other forms of exercise Tai Chi requires students to practice in the most unhurried, gentle and relaxed way possible in order to gain maximum benefits. The unhurried and effortless movements are practiced with calm concentration making practice extremely pleasurable. In fact, if the exercise is not comfortable and enjoyable you are probably doing something wrong.

Although essentially a martial art most people practice Taiji (T'ai Chi) for health. The life enhancing benefits of Taiji are well documented and increasingly supported by research in the west. Current research has proven the beneficial and therapeutic benefit of Tai Chi as a weight bearing and moderate intensity cardiovascular exercise. Practice of Tai Chi can improve balance, reduce falls and increase leg strength. It also lowers stress hormones, enhances respiratory and immune function and promotes emotional well-being.

The Three Treasures School of Taijiquan aims to provide classes which are suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness. The school is supported and monitored by Oxfordshire County Council Adult Learning Skills Funding Agency to ensure the highest standard of teaching and best practice is maintained.

Taiji (Tai Chi) and Qigong (Chi Kung) Classes

Three Treasures Taijiquan offers regular Chen and Yang style Taiji (T'ai Chi) and Qigong (Chi Kung) classes throughout the county of Oxfordshire including Oxford, Wallingford, Didcot, Henley-on-Thames, Sonning Common and Charlbury. Some classes may incorporate the self defence aspects of the art (Taijiquan) while others are only concerned with cultivating good health (Taijiqigong). Both types of training aim to develop Internal strength; the alignment and coordination of body and mind.

Tui na massage is available either at Eau De vie clinic in Oxford or in the comfort of your own home.
